Since these products are sold internationally and certain countries require ingredients to be listed by the name that is accepted worldwide, all ingredients now conform to the terminology standardized by the International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients, or INCI. The INCI nomenclature is the molecular description of the ingredient. For example, Roman chamomile (Matricaria recutita) is listed as “Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria)" according to INCI rules.
